Lovin on Ruby!

Ruby Ann will be three weeks old on Tuesday and as you will see in the pics below the new has definitely not worn off yet! :) Her brother and sister just can't get enough of her! They just smile and smile when she is around and get right in her face. I will admit to getting irritated at times, it seems like I just get her to sleep when they want to kiss and hold her. The past three weeks have really seemed to fly by, I can't believe it has been that long since we have brought her home. I forgot how much work a newborn is, it is hard to get anything else done around the house when I am constantly trying to get my little Ruby to sleep or keep her content. I think it was my last post where I wrote about what a good baby Ruby was, well let's just say I can now eat my words. She has had a rough couple of days where she just cries and cries and there's nothing we can do to make it stop! NO FUN! I love my sweet little Ruby more than life itself, but it is really hard to have a baby who constantly cries and two other little ones around that need my attention. Hopefully we're just going through a rough patch and she'll go back to that easy going baby I saw in the first two weeks of life. :) And to add icing to the cake, she's really congested so this means she WILL NOT sleep laying down for very long. She also won't sleep sitting up for very long, so mama is doing a lot of holding in the middle of the night so we can both catch some zzzzzz's.

Lily is a great second mama to have around, she really is a great help!

Coop gives Ruby too much love!

WE LOVE RUBY!
They are just too sweet when they are sleeping. :)
Awww...love those long naps in the morning!
Nothing is better than sleeping on daddy's chest.
Here are my three stinkers all cleaned up and ready to go to church. Ruby went to church for the first time today, she was a big hit!
I wanted to write a little something about my incredible mother. I know I have mentioned before about how I could not have survived my first week home without her and I hope she knows how very much I appreciate her. Not only does she care for my family but she takes great care of me as I mend from my c-section. The only time I ever really get emotional after I have a baby is when my mom has to go back to Woodward. With each of my kiddos I cried when my mom left. She is such a blessing to me and I love her more than I can ever say. Thanks again mom and I hope I can be half the mom to my kids that you were and continue to be for me!
WE LOVE MIMI!
One of Ruby's biggest fans! Love you Mom!!!!!

First, thank you for sitting behind me in church this morning. It would have driven me crazy to be able to see beautiful Ruby all during church and not get to hold her.
Is it just me or does having a baby sister make Lily look older? She is one proud big sister. Who can blame her?
I'm glad your mom was able to come and take care of you and your family. Big blessing all around.
Love the photo of Ruby and Josh. Babies are definitely angelic when they are asleep.
Oh, and you looked so pretty today. Couldn't even tell you had been pregnant just three short weeks ago.

That was a beautiful tribute to your mother. I hope little Ruby and you get through this little patch and she starts sleeping through the night in record time! Best of luck Annie.

Wow! Ruby is so beautiful and I can't believe she's already 3 weeks old...time flies so fast in those first few weeks. Life with a newborn is so tiring..especially with the other kiddos in the mix. Hopefully she gets to feeling better soon and you'll both be able to catch some more zzz's!

She is so sweet and Lily and Cooper look SO proud. Thad has been such a good baby so far (except wanting to eat all the time)...don't tell me it's going to change in a couple of weeks...

Annie, you are too sweet and give me way too much credit. I, too, cry when I have to leave you girls with new babies. Don't know why, you are such great mamas. Hope to see you soon, in person!

When did your dad get his blog ID? He didn't clue me - and guess you could tell - the above comment is mine, not his! :D

Let's just start by sayin you looked great Sunday and things will get better w/sweet little Ruby. As for BIG sister and brother....they LOVE her mom, that's all I gotta say. All these sweet pics make me laugh because I remember the girls wanting to smother her w/love the 1st week or 2, then she didn't exist anymore and she became a pain for them and still is LOL....but they do love her.

Hi Annie!
Thank you for your encouragement!! I keep up with your blog. You honestly have the cutest kids!! Oh how I would love if Collin came out with dark hair like Ruby.

To be honest, I thought about emailing you a couple weeks ago and asking you some questions about c-sections because I knew you were scheduled for one with Ruby. If you don't mind, I do have one question...how long did you have to wait before you were able to hold Ruby? I've heard conflicting things...one being that it would be at least 2 hours.
