Ruby is 3 months old!!

My baby girl is three months old today. I can't believe it! Time seems to have flown by as one big blurr. She is still so very much loved by her brother and sister, they just can't get enough of her. Ruby is my hardest baby. Lily was super easy (I didn't know how good I had it with her because she was my first). Coop was harder than Lily, but a lot easier than Ruby. Poor little Ruby, she's just fussy most of her awake time. I am hoping that now that she is three months old it will get better. Her doc thought she had a touch of colic and they "say" at three months it tends to get better-we shall see. She LOVES to be held, can you say spoiled? I have to let her fuss quite a bit, because well, she's fussy. Lily and Coop don't like this at all!!! But when my precious baby is happy she can melt your heart. She gives big adorable smiles and coos and coos, we LOVE it! She learned to flip from her belly to her back when she was one month old, so very young. She has perfected it now! I sleep my babies on their bellies (I know you are all gasping), but they WON'T sleep on their backs and they love their bellies. Anyway, now that sweet Ruby is rolling to her back, and I mean that girl puts one leg up and hops right over there is NO stopping her, she doesn't sleep as good. :( I am so sad! Just a week ago she was going 8 or even 9 hours, but now she is waking up throughout the night because she has rolled onto her back! ARGHH My other babies went through this stage, but not at three months, more like five months! I am needing some serious prayer, because it is getting to me. Oh well, onto the precious pics of my precious Ruby. We love you baby girl, even if you are my fussy wussy sweetie!!!! I just posted several pics of her cute little smiles, check out the first pic, too funny!

After I took some pics of Ruby, Coop plopped down and started talking to her, she was LOVIN it!!!!!

You know, if Ruby is the hardest baby, it's good you have Lily and Cooper around to play with her and give you little breaks. Sorry about the sleeping patterns. Just when you think you're good to go, the little stinkers shake things up. Your doctor is right - colic does tend to do away around three months, at least it did for Tyler (Ashlee wasn't colicky). So maybe with a couple more weeks of growing time, beautiful little Ruby will be on the road to Pleasantville and will take up residence there permanently. (I've only seen her happy, but the nursery workers hardly ever put her down because she's so adorable.)
Love that last photo where she's smiling at Coop. Too cute.

She is adorable!! I love those cheeks...perfect for kissing!!

Collin is a belly sleeper too! I only recently discovered that he prefers his belly...now if I put him down on his back, so fusses until I put him on his belly and then he's out. Here's a question for you...he recently started sleeping through the night but he leaks out of his diaper. This isn't an issue in the day, just at night. And he doesn't fill up the whole diaper, just the top portion. Any suggestions?

It's amazing how well I can see both of your other kids in Ruby! She is such a cutie!!! I am so jealous...I want to be holding my baby! I know she'll be here before I know it, but I'm tired of waiting.

Thanks Annie and Katie for getting back with me!! I've been using size 1 Pampers swaddlers. Last night, though, I tried Huggies size 1-2...I thought that particular size seemed smaller than the Swaddlers size 1. I also have plain Pampers size 1 and Huggies size 2 on hand. Would one of those possibly fit better?

Thanks so much for your help...I still have a lot to learn :)

She is so adorable! I'm right there with you on the baby #3 being the toughest. Nicholas was the only one to get colicky (which did end right around 3 months) but I'm still waiting for him to sleep through the night. And, yep....I lay my babies on their bellies too! None of them would ever sleep on their backs either. Best of luck with Ruby..hope she gets to feeling better and sleeping longer soon!
