BUMMER!!!

Well, as I have mentioned in previous posts little Ruby Ann was to be born on January 16th via c-section. But, yesterday my doctor took my dream away and added four more days for me to be pregnant. UGH!!! He changed my c-section date to the 20th, he went back and looked at my records and decided she needed to cook a little longer. Boo-Hoo! :( I couldn't believe four little days really mattered, but apparently while the baby is in utero it can really make a difference and I of course want a healthy, happy baby. As I stewed in my disappointment, my mom reminded me that Ruby will now share a birthday with a very special grandma. My "Ma" my dad's mother was born on January 20th, she went to be with the Lord in 1992. What a fabulous woman my Ma was, she left us way too early and is missed dearly. Lily and my Ma share the same name and now Ruby and Ma will share the same birthday! :) My kiddos have been driving me a little crazy wanting to know exactly when Ruby will be here so the old teacher in me decided we would make a count down chain to Ruby's arrival. (I secretly added four new chains yesterday, they will never know). They are more excited to remove a chain each day than to do their Christmas count down. I love how excited they are and poor Ruby will be the most spoiled and loved little sister around! :)

Here they are posing with our countdown chain

They wanted to show how long it is (31 more days to go)
I also added a few pics of Lily's Christmas party, her class stood up to sing a few songs for the parents. Sweet Lily didn't sing of course but she stood there looking adorable and I was very proud of her for that!
Enjoying the yummy pizza!
Mrs. Clifton and Lily, what a cute pic. Mrs. Clifton just happens to be a great friend of mine, we met in college, worked together, babysat each others first babies, and we love to be pregnant at the same time! :) She is due 2 weeks after me with her third blessing!!! :)

A countdown chain is a great idea. I love that Lily and Ruby will both have a connection to your grandma. Neat. Ashlee was born on my Grandma Grace's birthday, so her middle name is Grace. Proud of sweet Lily for standing up with her class. Who cares if she didn't sing a note - that's a big step for her. Way to go Lily! She's oh, so cute. I just love that sweetie girl.

I love the countdown chain...I am so stealing that idea for the next baby! That is too cute. Praying for the 31 days to go fast, can't wait to see Miss Ruby!

Very good idea. I think that's very smart of you to think of that. Cute pic of Lily with her teacher.
