Obsessive Baseball Father! :)

Okay everyone, those of you who know my husband you know he is a huge baseball fanatic. This has been apart of who he is for as long as he can remember. His mother tells me that Josh used to go around the house and swing an imaginary bat at an imaginary ball. Yes, people I have seen him do this as an adult since we have been married! :) With that said, Josh is super excited about our kids someday playing baseball/softball. He took them outside the other day and had them practice their swinging. Yes you heard me correctly our 4 and 2 yr old are learning how to hold their bat and swing correctly at the ball. The kids really enjoyed this especially Lily, which surprised us all. Josh was very pleased with Lily's ability and hopes that she will want to play softball someday. Cooper is into any kind of game that involves a ball so I have no doubts that he will want to follow in his father's footsteps! Ella was over, but she was much more interested cheering them on than swinging the bat. :)

Keep your eye on the ball...

and swing!
Coop got his lessons as well, and by the way, Josh is also super pumped because Coop is going to be a lefty and this will be great when it comes to baseball (but not so good when his mother is trying to teach him how to write, because I am not a lefty).
Cooper did pretty good at hitting the ball, he loved making the ball go far, if it didn't go far he would scream. He's going to be a poor sport I'm afraid!
And what would a baseball game be without the cheerleaders, they were chanting "Go Cooper Go!!!"

Looks like you may have some future Yankees in the family. My dad is a HUGE Yankees fan; he would talk Josh's ear off about it. Love your little baseball/softball players! The cheerleaders are cute, too!

I'm having flash-backs of Ryan out in the yard with the kids. It's funny that he is so excited about Cooper being a lefty. Both my kids are right handed but Ryan forced them to bat left handed and to this day, they both still bat left handed.

We are also playing tee ball these days, and I have really been trying to be patient, but it is hard. I sympathize more with dad now!! Love the baseball cheerleaders!!
