Coloring Easter Eggs!

I know, I know, I know it has been forever since I last posted. Believe me I hear enough about it from my dear sweet mother. So in order to impress her and you I have decided to break our very fun and busy weekend into three parts (this means I will post for three days in a row, betcha don't believe me huh?). I have so much to post about and tons of pictures to share I thought this way would be easier instead of one HUGE post. Part 1 of our wonderful Easter weekend begins with coloring our eggs at Pa and Mimi's house. The kiddos had such a great time, its easy to let their enthusiasm spill over onto you. As you can see from the pics we had a lot of eggs to color, seven dozen to be exact!!

Lily is ready to get the party started!

Cooper was so fun this year, this was the first time he has been excited about coloring eggs.

Ella, Sam, and Lily pose for a quick pic before the coloring begins.

Can't you just feel the excitement through Max's expression-priceless!!

Sweet little Emily is waiting so patiently to begin.
Lily's favorite color is orange, which drives her OU loving daddy crazy, so it was no surprise when she held up her favorite egg-ORANGE!!
Cooper's special coloring technique involved shoving as many eggs as he could into one cup full of dye. Most of them turned out cracked and brown, but boy did he have a good time!
Mimi helped Cooper get at least one egg that wasn't cracked and or brown.
This year Lily took her time making each egg perfect, she is a little artist in the making!
I know you can't see the egg clearly, but this egg has her name on it and she was so proud!
Ben got to watch from the sidelines at first, but later he got his chance and he loved it!!
**Stay tuned for Part 2 of our fun filled Easter weekend!!!!!

It's about time you posted! Lily has always been great about really focusing on any art project; she is an artist. It sounds like Coop wanted to do experimental art, as most boys do.

I'm glad you guys had a fun time with family. It's the best isn't it? Your kids are so adorable! They both did a good job on the eggs!

It is so neat that the kids get to color eggs with all of their cousins. I can't wait until next year when my kids will get to do that too. I'm just going to suggest that we color them at Kandace's house.

How much fun it must be to be part of your huge family. All the little cousins dying eggs together, what a ball!
