Memorial weekend pics- finally!!

We took our annual camping trip over memorial weekend and we had a blast!! Except for the millions and millions of mosquitoes, seriously they were BAD this year! We went to Boiling Springs this year for the first time and it was super nice, the best part was that it is ten minutes from Woodward so Katie and I were able to take the babies to our parents house to sleep them at night. I don't know if I would have braved camping with a four month old if I wouldn't have had my parents house as an option to sleep. Another bonus about it being so close to Woodward was my grandparents got to come out for the day and then go back and spend the night at my parents house too. The weather was gorgeous, it only rained one afternoon and for probably only 45 minutes. The kids of course had a fabulous time playing all day long together. We brought our bikes this time and Coop rode his bike for the majority of the time we were there, even some of the grown ups spent some time riding their bikes. :) I love going camping with my family, we have gone as long as I can remember and now I get to make memories with my own kiddos. I hope we continue to go and spend this special time together.

Mimi and Emily take a break to pose for a quick pic

Aunt KK surrounded by some of her admirers- Sam, Lily, Ella, and Emily

Sally and baby Heidi, we can't wait to meet that precious baby. I have to give a big shout out to my sis, she was extremely helpful with Ruby-don't know what I would have done without you that weekend. THANK YOU!!!!!

Josh and Ryder taking it easy, actually Ryder looks a little scared of his Uncle Josh

Me and Lily, yes people this is how I look when I camp, pretty huh?!

My parents brought their huge slide, it was a big hit with the kids. They only got about an hour of play before the park ranger shut us down, they were fuddy duds!

Emily is ready to give Lily a high five as she slides down

Coop loves to ride his bike, he is pretty fast when he pedals

Josh got a new bike while we were camping (another big bonus about camping so close to Woodward, Wal Mart was only ten minutes away). I had to take a pic of Josh riding his new bike because its the first bike he's ever had, kind of like Phoebe on Friends. He did tell me he had a bike as a child but the pedals didn't work so he had to push it up the hill and then ride it down. :(

Ruby spent most of the day in the safe mosquito free tent, she was such a happy baby being outside all day. We did have a few moments of fussiness, it's Ruby after all! :)

I told Sam to smile for the camera and instead I got this "cool dude" look! Too cute!

Mandy and sweet Ben

I got to see my great friend Hilary and meet her new little guy Thad, he's only 8 days younger than Ruby. It was so nice getting to spend a little time with her. I probably won't see her again until Thanksgiving or Christmas- sniff, sniff. She of course looks fabulous, and I- well you can see for yourself. Miss you Hilary!!!!
Hilary's oldest is only three weeks younger than Lily, we liked to be pregnant at the same time :) (although she did wait a year after Coop to have her little Rhett) Hollace and Lily play really well together, even when it has been months since we have seen them.
Thad and Ruby, aren't they so sweet? They don't know it yet, but they are betrothed!!! ;)
I also included a couple of pics of Lily's messy art day at school. She didn't play at all, I'm pretty sure the wild and craziness of that day was just too much for her. She stood by my side the entire time, but we had fun watching all the other kids get messy. She did meet up with Alora for a short time and they posed for a pic, they are so sweet together. I wish they were going to the same school next year together too.

Lily had the best teachers this year. Mrs. Statum and Mrs. Clifton were fabulous and so incredible for Lily's first year of school. We will miss them like crazy next year!!!

Of course we came during the only 45 minutes of rain! Wish we could have visited longer-Can't wait to see you next time!
