GROSS!!!!!

As most of you know I am really working hard to potty train Cooper. We've been hitting it pretty hard the last 10 days or so. Well, today as I sit in Lily's room going through her summer clothes to put in her closet I start to think, "I haven't heard Cooper in awhile." I decided I better go investigate. As I walk through the kitchen Cooper is standing next to the trashcan with a horrible look on his face. At first glance I think he has eaten something really disgusting, but then I see the green mush ALL over his hands. YUCK! Fortunately he was NOT eating his poop, but he did decide to remove it from his underwear with his hands to throw it away so mama would not be the wiser! When I tell you this was disgusting that is a HUGE understatement!! I finally got him and the trashcan all cleaned up, and sent him to bed for a nap. I never had these issues with Lily and I sure wish I didn't have them with Coop. If Josh would have been the one to find Coop and I was gone, I think Josh would have thrown our trashcan away and hosed Cooper off in the yard! Hopefully we'll have better luck tomorrow!

I didn't take pictures of Cooper's adventure because it would have caused you all to lose your lunch. But I thought I would post a pic of him looking so innocent (don't let the picture fool you)!

We as your blog readers thank you for not posting pics of Cooper's fun times... so much to look forward to as motherhood approaches...:)

I feel your pain here! We're currently trying to get Trevor completely potty-trained...he's doing well all except for adventures like Cooper's. I'm just thankful that I have a shower wand and haven't had to resort to the waterhose yet! haha

I understand....why won't these kids just poop in the potty! I can't get Blayre to either, luckily she doesn't try to hide it but I am sure she is almost to that point, cause I am about to beat her if she doesn't start going in the potty! Well, actually she just came and told me she poo-pooed, so I got to go! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!

Oh that's hilarious. I don't have kids, but one time, we had Roman (my dog) crated, and I guess we he had a really bad tummy ache, so poor Ro had explodo-poo all over the inside of his kennel. Had it not been for the overwhelming odor that quickly filled our tiny apartment, one would have thought that he had just rolled around in a mud puddle. Nate got to clean that one up. He had to hose down Roman and the kennel, and open all the windows in the apartment to let it air out. Poop - fun times. :)

I was in the same boat with Elijah and it was not fun. Although my son hasn't gotten it down completely, we have made progress and it will be nice once we are finally done. So like I said to Katie they'll get it when they get it. Not to say that you shouldn't encourage it but remember I told you for some it could take up to 8 months before they are completely potty trained. That is not having any accidents at all! Oh and as I am writing this Elijah is yelling at me from the bathroom that he just pooped in the potty! So hang in there, Coop is going to be saying that soon :)

Oh Annie I am so lucky I have never had that happen! Maybe with number three! HAHA
Oh yes thank you for just posting the sweet picture of Coop!

I'm laughing right now...only because he is not my kid. In our house we made the rule that Ryan would potty-train Reece and I would be responsible for Kamryn. I think it is only fair that Josh should handle this situation!!!

As owner of a dog with irritable bowel syndrome, I have seen a lot of poopy messes. Although I don't have kids, it seems like of the kids I know, boys have a much harder time getting potty trained than girls.

Aw, sneaky little guy you've got there. I think all kids try that once or twice. He'll get the hang of it before you know it.

Just LOL!

Knock on wood...but my boys have never done that! That was pretty funny though! I can't imagine having to clean that up...I too would have just thrown it all out!

That is gros-also a little sweet that he tried to clean it up himself. Reminds me of the time a couple of years ago that Hollace threw up during the night and tried to clean it all up with wipies before she came and woke me up.

Gotta admire Coop's ingenuity! I'm grateful you didn't post pics - seems like anything goes on some blogs! Hang in there - it's my experience that boys are harder to potty train. I think they just don't care to be smelly, gross beings. Part of their charm!

Annie--That has to be the best potty training story I have ever heard. I am just sorry it happened to you!

Oh that reminds me of when Jordan was still in her crib and Todd went in to check on her and she had taken her diaper off (she's gonna love me for sharing) and smeared it's contents all over the crib, wall etc...
Thank goodness I was not home!
Also, Todd's brother has used the water hose on their first born...I thought men were supposed to be tough!
